Privacy Policy
What we collect through this website, why, who sees it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Studverse Education (Private) Limited ("Studverse", "we", "us"), a company registered in Sri Lanka. Our registered office is at [registered office address]. You can reach us at hello@studverse.lk.
We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy, which we handle in line with the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022 of Sri Lanka.
2. What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us through the contact form:
- your full name
- your email address
- your WhatsApp number, if you give one (this is optional)
- the service you are interested in
- your message, and anything you write in it
Please do not include sensitive details in your message, such as health information, national identity card numbers or financial details. We do not need them to reply.
If you are invited to become a Studverse partner and complete our partner profile form, we also collect the details you enter there: your name and title, role and organisation, areas of expertise, a short bio, links you choose to share, your contact details, your employer's position on partner work, and optional information about services you might offer in future. We publish only the items you tick, and only after confirming the wording with you. We do not ask for identity card numbers, bank details or certificates on that form.
This website has no user accounts and does not ask for payment. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies at present.
3. How we use it
- To reply to your message and answer your questions.
- To arrange a session, quote or follow-up that you ask for.
- To keep a record of our conversation with you.
- To publish a testimonial on this website, only if you agree to it.
- To list you as a partner on this website, using only the items you tick and with your agreement.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing unless you tell us you want to hear from us.
We rely on your consent, which you give by submitting the form, and on our need to respond to your request.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of services to run this website. They receive your information only as needed to provide that service.
| Service | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Formspree | Delivers the contact and partner profile forms to our email | The details you type into the form |
| Used only if you give a number and we reply there | Your number and our messages, under WhatsApp's own terms | |
| Google Fonts | Supplies the fonts used on this site | Your IP address and browser details, when your browser loads the fonts |
| Our website host | Serves this website | Standard server logs, such as IP address and pages visited |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
5. Transfers outside Sri Lanka
Some of the services above, including Formspree and Google, store or process information outside Sri Lanka. By sending us a message you understand that your information may be handled in other countries. We choose services that describe how they protect personal data.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your message and contact details for up to 12 months after our last conversation with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we must keep them longer to meet a legal duty. After that we delete them.
7. Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- delete your information
- stop using your information, or withdraw the consent you gave us
To use any of these rights, email hello@studverse.lk. We may need to confirm who you are first. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did with your information before you withdrew it. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You may also raise a concern with the relevant authority under Sri Lankan law.
8. How we protect it
We limit who can see messages sent through the form, and we use services that encrypt information while it is sent. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. Students and young people
Many people who use Studverse are students. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to help you send us a message, and do not share more personal information than you need to.
10. Cookies
We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. If we add them in future, we will update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it. See our Cookie Policy for details.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Please check back occasionally.
12. Contact us
